The YWCA of Calgary depends on the strong support of the Calgary community to help those in need every day. And it’s never been easier to donate! Choose the method that is best for you from the options below.

We are also happy to accept your credit card donation over the phone. We are available from Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 (statutory holidays excluded) and you can reach us at (403) 294-7343.
4) Support our Special Events
Every year the YWCA of Calgary runs two signature special events and we invite you to support one or even both!
5) Monthly giving
If you would like to help, but prefer to do so in smaller amounts over a longer period of time, we are happy to work with you to find a donation schedule that works for you. Click here to become a monthly donor to the YWCA of Calgary and help provide sustainability for our important work. You can also set up monthly payroll deductions through your company.
6) United Way of Calgary and Area Donor Choice
You can support both the United Way and the YWCA of Calgary by designating the YWCA as your charity of choice during the United Way’s campaign.
7) Tribute donations
REMEMBER through a Memorial Gift
The YWCA of Calgary would be honoured to receive gifts in memory of your loved ones. Remembering someone special through a memorial gift is a thoughtful way to honour someone’s life and remember the relationship the individual had with the YWCA of Calgary. Your memorial gift will make a difference to the future of the Calgary community.
CELEBRATE a special occasion through a Gift in Honour
The YWCA of Calgary is privileged to receive gifts in honour of family, friends, clients and former clients. Through a gift in honour, you can give a tribute to celebrate a wedding or retirement, commemorate an anniversary or birthday, or remember someone during the holiday season. Recognizing someone through a gift in honour is a thoughtful way to celebrate the milestones in someone’s life, while at the same time making a difference to your community.
8) In-kind donations
We are happy to accept new household and clothing donations to help our clients re-start their lives. We are always in need of food and high-need items, such diapers, bedding and toiletries.
Simply call our office at (403)294-7343 and we are happy to share with you our clients’ greatest needs.
Unfortunately, as of October 1, 2007, we can no longer accept donations of used household items and clothing. The collection of used items is taxing on the organization’s internal resources, with limited staffing and where costs associated with sorting, distributing and storing mass items can no longer be managed. Used clothing, bedding, toys, and household items also present a number of health & hygiene issues.
Tax receipts
YWCA of Calgary is a registered Canadian charity (#108227927 RR0001). We will issue a tax receipt automatically for donations of $20 or more. Tax receipts are mailed within 30 days of receipt, except monthly donations, which are receipted annually.
